Prior Notification for Agricultural Building

Objective:

The client’s aim was to achieve planning for two agricultural buildings, totalling 720m2

Proposal:

The client instructed us to submit an application via permitted development. The first building will be used for grain storage to replace their current facilities off site, which is expensive and unsustainable. The second building will be used for straw storage which is fed directly into the farm’s livestock. Once permission was granted our client was able to bale more straw and sell the excess during the winter months when prices are at their highest.

Local Planning Authority:

Uttlesford District Council

What the consultant Says

The client had no existing agricultural buildings on the site as it was farmed under a share farming agreement. The client wanted to provide infrastructure for them to be able to store crops on their own holding.
